Design QC (contract position) for Scientific Atlanta

We are currently looking for a talented Design Quality Control Technician to join our team. The position is an individual contract position to Scientific Atlanta.

Job description for
Field Design and Quality Control Technician

Ø Will ride out specified designed areas to assure accuracy of strand
mapping and design
Ø Will produce RF design as needed, using Load Data/Focus
Ø Will locate and approve sites for power supply and node placements
Ø Will work to resolve easement issues as they arise
Ø Will assure design is complete and accurate via physical ride-outs
Ø Will take corrective action as needed to assure accurate mapping and design
Ø Will update and maintain system prints with as built information
Ø Will maintain system prints and coordinate distribution to construction and plant personnel
Ø Will compile and maintain a data base of all activities

Skills-

Substantial prior experience with cable system design
Prior experience locating favorable sites for power supply and node placements
Ability to handle multiple duties and to meet deadlines
Computer literate
Prior outside plant construction experience
AutoCAD and other mapping experience
Strong communication skills, fiber design background
