Re:Need documentation on sweeping return without stuffing actives

I have been sweeping SA Gain Makers off and on since tey came out. The best thing to do is before attempting to sweep the return path is to pre-stuff all actives with a 75ohm pad in the return output pad, leaving the return input pad empty. I have tried it without stuffing, but if you want to turn out a quality product this is the best way to do it. Most Cable companies realize this and either pay the splicers to pre-stuff or pay the sweepers to stuff. Stuffing the return prior to sweeping also helps in pin pointing trouble areas in the return path. As far as unity gain goes, your telemetry will stay about the same with a 1 or 2 db variance, but your picture and your peak to valley will look very ugly.

>I would like to know where I could get books a website any documentation proving problems that occur when sweeping actives(whole nodes) without stuffing the return.Thank you for your time.
