Splicing coaxial cable

McCormick Center LLC. has 20+ years experience in cable construction. This long-standing relationship with splicing in particular has allowed us to develop specifications and procedures that ensure high performance, low maintenance plant. Our cosmetics and attention to plant serviceability allows for ease of maintenance and instills pride in the employee work force. Our attention to detail, from moving power supply locations to asbuilting maps, guarantees a more functional plant. Some elements of our specifications and procedures are as follows:

1. Performance: Sweep forward and reverse
a. Splices on input sides of actives; {yes active may need to be moved to opposite side}
b. Minimal use of 90.s and extension pins.
c. All splices outside of loops.

2. Minimizing maintenance
a. Using reflective tape to show RF and voltage flow on actives and p. supplys.
b. Use of proper closing techniques of actives and passives.
c. Locks on all peds and p. supplys.
d. Double straps on each side of actives.
e. Fusing system.

3. Cosmetics:
a. Minimum 4 straps per location {6 if fiber present}
b. Use of measurement program for uniform mechanics; 38" strap to strap for taps, 40" for splits, 75" for L. E. taps etc…
c. Mechanical binders for all loops.
d. Loops on both sides of actives and at dead-ends.

4. Plant serviceability:
a. Facing actives away from road when necessary.
b. Common sense positioning of actives and p. supplys.
c. Asbuilting additional needed taps and preparing for future build considerations. Properly placing equipment on property lines.
We are for hire at this time. References, insurance, and pictures available. We are capable of performing to the exact specifications required for your job. We require little supervision and have maintenance skills in our backgrounds. We average 9000ft per man per week retro.
