I install ground rods with a bottle of water,start the hole and poor a little water and jiggle the ground rod up and down and it will go down at an unbelievable rate. Keep doing this and with very little sweat the ground rod is in. does not work with any rock. Also a demolitiopn hammer is good in rock.Chuck
