I work in the southwest doing digital telephone installs on a contract basis. We check out voice ports and digital boxes daily. Due to what I'm sure is dispatcher or data entry error, several contractors have equipment checked to them that they cannot find. The buzz around the shop is that our prime is going to hold paychecks until this equipment is returned to the comm. company. We never signed anything stating that we were fiscally responsible for the equipment, and again I'm quite sure we never had this equip. to begin with. Their reasoning is that since we sign the print-out (that just states what equip. went to what tech.) that this means we are responsible. Any info would be greatly appreciated, as they plan on charging an outrageous amount for each piece. Thanks!
