Hello Fiberlover, you could learn enough about splicing coax within a week to be able to earn your own way. As you work from there you will learn enough to go where ever you may choose to go. A Splicer who could starrt you out on taps, or putting together equipment while you learn is another option. Wherever you are, find a Splicer and let them know your desire to learn. I think you should have no problems entering the field. Good luck in your endeavor, and remember...many people do not wish success for others and may attempt to sabotage your efforts. No matter what business you are in, Please, becareful and measure your steps carefully. When things are smooth and walking in strides, it can become difficult to make up for lost ground when a retreat is in progress and half-steps, backwards or crouched are all you can risk. Don't go blindly into any working agreement and never divulge all your resources, addresses, ph. numbers, etc., Save your money quickly to be free from any obligations. Don't bank on anyone elses word. I have probably over elaborated my point here, I often do. You know everything I've said. I simply felt the need to re-iterate. Again, til we speak another day, Good health to you. Petergunn
