Hey Dave, this might seem a little simple, but why dont you unplug the hard drive with the info from the old machine and plug it in as a secondary, slave drive on the new machine? The only thing you need to make sure of is to change the pin settings on the back of the old drive (there's usually a diagram to let you know what the setting is).
