I agree w/tjcable,sounds like you got into some junk backfill,or you may have hung up on a abandoned utility,sewer or water main.OR,, in my case,an old guardrail made out of 1" steel cable and concrete pilons they decided to use as 20A roadbase in Texas. This was in the city limits,and permits requesting permission to dig the shit up took almost two weeks.Hope this is not your case..would like to hear the outcome bro..GOODLUCK.
