We're Ameritech's cable TV company, Ameritech New
and we're leading the way in the future of
interactive television. We have the following
position available in our Chicago location.

The purpose of this position is to be the technology
lead in analysis and development of new products
and services. This includes translating marketing
requirements into a clear set of technology
specification which can be implemented in the
required time frames as the targeted costs. Provides
oversight of work within technology organization
needed to ensure that commitments for new services
are met. Manage an organization of up to six system
engineers, develop high level technical designs for
services given timing and cost constraints, produce
technical and performance specifications, manage the
development of approriate network disclosures,
ensure effective handoffs to the operations
organization, all activities leading to realization
of new products (from ideation through the initial
phases of deployment) and managing vendor
relationship, requests for quotes, contract
negotiations and vendor issue tracking & resolution.
Required are: BSEE or computer science and 5+ years
experience in managing the introduction of new
technologies and/or project and product management.
Working knowledge of modern telecommunications
systems and strong communications skills are also
required. Process management for introducing new
technologies, broadband in cable TV industry and
knowledge of TCP/IP and internet technologies
experience preferred.
