Being a competitor of PCC I wouldn't say I'm sticking-up for them,
but... Having been a prime on that same Milwaukee job there may
be some insight your not aware of. TWC (Milw) has had a horrible
reputation of chasing off every prime contractors best subs and
some in-house folks, with such unethical business tactics! We left
at the begining of the year partly do to these reasons. Such as:
1) They drop or restructure pay whenever it comes time to start
paying out. (AKA country running).
2) When payment dropage/restructure is not available to them,
limiting your production is. Anyone remember Mequon, Burlington,
Pleasant Prarie, etc... ?
3) While all of us footage folks were gutting out easement in
milwaukee (city) TWC brought in a contractor to work for
pieces in Vernon (country runing).
These are just a few examples of TWC's hospitalities. In short I
cant blame PCC for turning MILW into a training facility. It would
only be a matter of time before TWC would run off anyone of
quality anyway! Perhaps Primes and Subs alike will wake-up and
realize TWC has no intentions of changing their micro mngmnt
tactics. Just ask Tech-wave! Your number may be next?
