People, lets get the ball rolling and start a war bond drive, and do what we can to save the Social Security System. Our older citizens suffer enough without tapping into what little money the government has in hold for them. Let's spread the word to start a bond movement. Let's look back to WWII and see what our people sacrificed and how they helped the war effort. Let's not hurt older Americans.
Even during the deficit spending of the 80's, social security was ALWAYS paid out. Those of you who actually believe there is a pile of money called "social security" are fooling yourselves. It all goes into the general fund. Social Security will always be paid, but I do agree that selling war bonds would be a good idea. This way we could finance the war without disturbing the rest of the federal budget, and could avoid raising taxes.
