NO NO NO We believe the statement that cuscomm has made. Union were for the old days. Back several years ago we had a job working in a Sprint Central Office in TX which all of the staff was union. We did vertification on the frame as to the pairs coming in and pairs going out to the cross-boxes. At times things were ok with most of there staff and they would allow us time on the frame and use of the computers, but there was this old man that had been there for 30 years and was union and he would tell us when we could work on the frame or not. He hated having what he called scabs working on his truf.
I believe that we all need to get together somehow and let all of the big boys know that we want the good prices back and if we have a signed contract that everyone should follow the words that are written on the paper. Pay us for the work that we have done and not come up with one reason after another that we shouldn't be paid.
So there is good and bad to having a union. If anyone has ever worked for Peter Kewitt they are union and everything is followed to the letter, but they have another division called Gilbert Southern that is not union and their employee get away with things that OSHA would fine them for if they knew about it.

>HELL NO!!! Unions take away all incentive to excell. Unions only allow "x" amount of work to be completed within a given time frame, regardless of what your potential is. "Unions" are just another word for SOCIALISM, EVERYONE GETS THE SAME REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY ARE WORTH!!! There was a time when they were needed, but they have long outlived thier usefulness.
