because it is a primes market right now dude. supply and demand, economics 101...with ATT shutdown (for all practical purposes) there has been an ove abundance of splicers on the market. the primes see this as a way to pay off all their debt, and we are paying it off. cant blame the guy that will work a retro for .13/ft when he has a family to provide for. the primes just think of themselves, NOT the people that made them what they are. it is unfortunate and embarressing to the cable tv industry to have such greedy bastards. what really pisses me off personally is how a man who has worked a retro for 2 years at say .38/ft, now has to do the same job for .24/ft, when the prime is still making, say .69/ft. the primes are taking advantage and simply put, what comes around, goes around...now on the other hand the construction crews are getting MORE $$$ than ever b4. why? because there are'nt enough (just like splicing used to be) people to do the jobs. which takes us back to the supply and demand theory...just my 2 cents worth...
>I know this is a bad question right know, but I want some others opions. Why is it that our price per foot pay is dropping so drasticly when the primes are still getting the same prices or better from the MSO's? Just wanted to hear how others felt on this.
