JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the work of the technical manager and supervisor and chief technician. Responsible for the management of plant operation processes and systems including preventative maintenance; demand maintenance; demand service and installation, including subcontractor labor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork
Maintain organization’s stability and reputation by compiling with all local, state and federal legal requirements and advising management on needed actions
Develop staff by providing information, training, coaching, educational opportunities and experiential growth/opportunities
Oversee that supplies, inventory and usage is maintained by monitoring and analyzing reports and physical observation
Maintain a safe operating and sound fleet by directing and ensuring schedules are followed on vehicle maintenance and necessary repairs are performed
Ensure that all vehicles are properly registered and licensed by reviewing logs of such requirements and assigning the responsibility
Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances, initiating corrective action
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
Knowledge & understanding of the testing and reporting of technical proofs of performance
Knowledge of all aspects of CATV operations as defined by performance and maintenance of equipment and electronics operating parameters
Knowledge of cable television products and services
Knowledge of construction practices and specifications and headend operation & standards
Knowledge of Installation/Service requirements both as it relates to staff & procedures
Knowledge of the capital and operating budget process
Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
B. Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
C. Related Work Experience
Technical management experience - 4 years

Office environment
Exposure to moderate noise levels
