Hmmm...sometimes the new guys offer the best opportunities to those who help them succeed. Deals like partnerships, profit sharing, etc., etc. are not all that uncommon among startups. Coming in on the ground floor is a heckuva risk, but it has great potential for big bucks, too. Attitude is everything! Stay positive and helpful. Whining, complaining, and mean-mouthing is a miserable way to live!
>Nothing like someone trying to get into the business with no business getting into it. You dont even know the questions to ask. I suggest getting a job at an in house cable company for the next 25 years and learning what you can before you screw up a minor project and give the rest of us that know what where doing a bad name.

>>Our company has the opportunity to be the telephone and cable company for a 450 acre housing development. Cable and phone service would be centrally housed in a communications building on the property. Other than legal issues (which are pretty well covered at this point), where would one go to learn about required equipment (amps, etc.), type of cable to pull, cross-connection equipment, pedestals etc? I know this covers a lot, and I have been in the electronics business for over 15 years, but transmission of signals over a mile and a half are on the fringes of my knowledge. Thoughts anyone, websites, required reading....etc?
