OBJECTIVE: Fiber Optic or Coaxial Splicer/Technician
QUALIFICATIONS
I am 25 years old and have been working for the past year and a half for a CATV upgrade company known as Winn-Caribe Communications, who is currently upgrading Adelphia‘s system in Harrisonburg and Staunton, Virginia. Throughout this short period of time, where I started out in the warehouse, I have learned how to splice both trunk and feeder of coaxial cable, as well as both forward and return activation, and troubleshooting problems. I have been working with C-Core Nodes, Amplifiers, and Line Extenders. I also have experience in splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optics, both CATV and Telephone (1310 nm and 1550 nm). I have been working with fiber for the past six months and have picked this up pretty fast. I am accustomed to the head-end as well as patch panels, transmitters, and return receivers.
