Are you sure it means "optical transfer node"?
It used to refer to an "overly technical nipplehead" back in the days of the 216 Mhz system, back when broadband meant either "the Bangles" or "Bananarama".
Used in a sentence thusly, "I met with the Engineer from Warner-Amex and he's OTN."
You don't always get what you expect, but you know what you got when you inspect. Happiness comes from within, some poor souls are just without.
