Interested candidates must possess the minimum following skills:
Previous system design experience with 750MHz or greater HFC system. (To include Fiber-Tree design)
In-Depth understanding of Headend theory and application (to include optical transmission, reception, DWDM, combining and SONET)
Experience with Wavetek SDA 5000 or QAM field meters.
Trilithic SST, SSR, and RSVP Headend and field units.
Hewlett Packard and AVANTRON Spectrum Analyzers.
TDR and OTDR
Video on-demand
Cable Modem
Forward/Reverse path activation, sweep and certification procedures.
Noise mitigation
Noise remediation
General construction knowledge
Computer Literate (e.g. MS Excel,Word,Powerpoint and Access)
