VCR PLUS+ GOLD

Hi bought a Mitsubishi Vcr through mail order since they are not available through retail in Canada. It has VCR PLUS GOLD but wants a zip code and in Canada we use Postal codes. Is there any way to change it to use postal codes. Do I need a different ROM from GEMSTAR to do this ? I went to their homepage but is under construction. Does anybody have a phone # for them?
