Well its not the type of work you start in your early 40's. Unless you have something else to bring to the table. I used to hire CDL drivers to learn how to drive for a cable placer. A good driver / groundman is worth a good percent, cause most work on units. I just retired after 50yrs building, rebuilding & the past 16yrs running maintenance crews in Philly. I would try one of the large companies like one of the Dycom group or Mastec. Good luck
