What kind of trouble? I´m splicing over here in Brazil and it gets pretty damn hot and we have no problems. You got to make sure the blades in your coring toll is up to date and be carefull for a crooked coring tool, that is a big problem.
Besides that, just practice with a old piece of cable before you start the actual job, there´s not a lot of room for error when working with coax.
