I wrecked a lot of big lead copper out. You know it's heavy so make sure you don't just cut the lead and lashing wire. The weight will just rip the wire to pieces, and you will have several spans on the ground in seconds and maybe even some broken poles also. Been there and done that. Best way I found was to use a "Roller Set Up Chute" with a rope attached and slowly allow the lead to hit the ground. The lashing wire will be much heavier gauge than new stuff. Watch out for the Air Ports also. Even if you use the de-lashing tool make sure you have the roller chute with a rope set up.
