You are correct, I do not do drops……Anymore. It didn’t take me very long to figure out there is no consistent money in buried drops. They are rarely easy as you speak of, unless you are on a very rural project.
I will say it does take less capital to start a drop bury crew than it does a mainline crew. But the profit margin is much less too.
