Chicago MSO spliced in some actives backwards?

What is the scoop on some Chicago mso that accidentally spliced in some actives backwards and left them and somehow made spec!? That is impossible! Sometimes "some" techs don't know what they are talking about but frequency response variation, bw-passband due to mismatched hybrids, noise/dist. and diplex filters seem to assimilate this story with those of the Lochness Monster! lol.
