Elitetrenching wants to know how to get his "own contracts". To me that means being a prime contractor. In other words my own work, not someone else’s work. The advice I gave him is a brief lesson of what it really takes to be a prime contractor. It is accurate and to the point. That’s not to say it can’t happen other ways but that would be an exception.
Now if you want to be a sub. That is a different story. You can just drive up, as you say, and ask if they need help.
