What Micro said is the gospel truth. With power out there is nothing open. We brought generators, gas cans, food, housing, etc. I can also tell you that we have never chased storm work. The only storm damage (ice storms not hurricane) we have ever worked was for previous or existing customers as the prime. I knew i was going to get and had a good working relationship with the customer. To each their own but I would not be a sub for someone I did not know, working for a company I did not know in conditions I did not know. In addition to Micros cautions, there will probably be nothing to do for weeks until the power company replaces the poles first. So I would not be excited to leave for at least 2 weeks after the storm hits.
