never make a trip/travel unless the company is willing to put up some $$$bucks. Look at this way, Companies have also been screwed by advance some dude money to get to the job......but the dude never showed. It goes both ways....there are bad apples in management, as with in crews. Best bet would of have them send you a pre paid one way ticket, you go to the job to pre survey before moving crews. If you don't take the job....your out of the one way return trip on your own. They loose-you loose, if you do take the job...you both win. They acted in good faith by giving you a one way ticket !
