They are out there in Cable Land.....it only takes a few to give our industry a bad name. Most of the time it's the fault of the person who has not been paid because he didn't check out the company first, he didn't have a contract, he waited to long for his check when he should of been gone after first missing check. Years ago when I enter this business (1965) a man's word was solid gold, topped off with a firm hand shank. This type of work don't require the prime to post a bond and without a contract, Your Pretty Much Screwed. Be Smart-ask around-check with the other crews that were already on site regarding getting paid !
