I think I know what you're talking about... if it's using the digital return transceivers with the SFP in them, you have to make sure the transceiver for ports 4 & 6 is in the left slot, and the 1 & 3 transceiver is on the right. Any normal human being would assume it's the opposite, so someone just wanted to F with us ??. If they're in the right location you won't have to swap jumpers around or anything. There should be a diagram right there inside the lid to show which lid positions and the corresponding ports. Hope that helps.
