Before you waste time and funds in becoming a prime contractor, make sure you have such an opportunity. Meet with the MSO-mgr and ask if it's possible. As far as a non compete clause written into an existing contract, you can beat that in court, if it goes beyond 45 days, as I had such. Legally they can not keep you from working and providing a standard of living for your family. So if it just says Non Complete and does not state a time limit, you can win, that is if you think is worth the funds, time and effort. If it's long term work, then it's worth going after.
