I see these job opportunities posted all the time.....looking for help !! Here is the reason you can't find help, all the experience men just got tired of the run around, being a tramp linemanfrom job to job, cheap motels, fast foods, trying to find a company that would pay for the years of experience they offered. Instead of paying for such good help, they were tossed in the pool of just being another dumb ass lineman living from pay check -check. Cable lineman are not respected as telepone/power lineman, even thourgh you most likely climb 2-3 x more pole in a day then they do. Just like them, when there is an outage, in any kind of weather, your out there getting the system back on. The problem is that they get paid high hourly Wages/TE along with them many benefit packages. All a damn cable lineman gets is what he does in a day, nothing for the delays others caused, like poor site supervision, lack of material, no prints, working from strip prints, inexperience QC inspection go back work...etc etc-you all been there. So how do you get quality help, Pay them, give them benefits, make them part of the team, share in profits, appreciate what they have to offer, keep back log work so they can support their famalies, quit being a sub from another sub and start being a Prime Contractor...then your get help and grow your company !!
