just do the job the right way...they put two rollers on the lasher for a reason.  I case you don't know...the messenger (Strand) expands and contracts, the coax needs to have a tight lash...no excessive, just tight.  Coax will expand/contract summer/winter  1" per 100 Ft.  Don't try to re write the specs and cause future problems long after you leave the job site.
