Part of the Infrastructure bill would dedicate $65 "Billion" to Broadband, another bill under consideration, The Broadband Internet Connections for Rural America Act, would combine the ReConnect program with a farm bill authorized rural broadband program and invest $43.2 "Billion" into rural broadband through US Department of Agriculture Programs. Last Year the Federal Communications Rural Digital opportunity fund offered $16 Billion over 10 years in a phase one auction. Look folks, get real here, to bring Fiber to Rural America, just like electricity back in 20's, would cost in todays market, some where around $100 "Billion". But what the hell is a "Billion" here and there, after all it's just yours and mine, Tax Payer Funds being used. All this just to get 25 megabits download speed with 3mbps upload speed. If your going to shoot for the stars, at least have a plan that will fit the future of communications.
