A little history: I started cable as a lineman back in 1965 for Jerrold Electronics, at the time the average labor hourly wage was $1.25 hr I was paid $3.25 hour with $42 week for travel expense as motels were around $8 night, now if you take those $$ figures and fast forward to 2021, you will see that after 56 yrs....your still working for hourly peanuts and most if not all today....don't pay T/E expense or hourly rages. So if today average wage is $15....today lineman should be making around $37.50 hr, as for T/E it should be around $390.00 5 day/wk Cable lineman will never earn the respect like a power line has and they will never be paid like telephone or power lineman. We've been suckers for last 50 years and it should be time the Cable MSO's and this Industry pays what is due.
MicroMan...keep safe......life and family is not worth being a tramp lineman working the Master !!
