During my career of over 40 years I can tell you that you can negotiate prices. That’s not to say you some clients, as you say, won’t negotiate and have a take it or leave it attitude. I have choose not to work for such arrogant companies. In case you don’t know, price fixing occurs when you and another party consort to raise prices on a particular project. If you are a partnership of some type bidding on a job, I don’t believe that to be price fixing. But if 2 or more companies get together and agree to bid high, then later share the work individuals, that is more likely to be considered price fixing.
