I've always had to just bite the bullet in a lot of places and grab it for the year, short term isnt a thing in most areas I've worked that were worth staying in.
Also doesnt help letting them know how many people and what type of workers are staying, to be honest. Most of the places are ran by national groups, with a local agent that youll never see again whether it be a 1 year or 10 year lease.
