Eventually all this coax will be replaced as you can only down size, so much, the size of the node area being fed.....So fiber. is KING right now. Copper is still hanging on but it can't reach reach out to far from CO/HUB. So what is next out there to replace all of it (Coax/Copper/Fiber)....it's gotta be wireless. Our little blue planet is buzzing like hell from all this wireless technology, if there is life out there in space, they gotta know we are here on mother earth. So the big deal now is rural fiber, just like electrical services back in the 20's, get fiber to every home in America. This was always the dream but now COV-19 is really pushing it, which means for you---plenty of future work . Most on here only know about fiber in the construction phase of outside plant, however I've worked fiber since 1982 and placed it in: Military Bases, Prisons, Coal mines, Auto plants (26 mile in just one plant) , Steel mills, Hospitals, Court houses, College Campus, Schools, WAN, MAN, Long Haul, Point to Point.
