The majority look back 7 years and they look for violent, sexual and theft crimes when they look at the records. I have to run them for a couple of our customers but we do them and retain the records ourselves with the agreement that if the are charged with a crime of that nature we will grant access to that persons record only. We certify that there was nothing on their record for the 7 years and they take our word for it unless something major happens. We have done this for over 12 years and have never once had any requests for any records of an employee. Since your offenses aren't anything violent and 10 years ago you should be fine.
