Corp To Corp Example: Comcast contracts with Mastec (who is a Prime contractor) to build a project, if Mastec has enough of it's own crews, they will build the project. However should MasTec have to many projects running, they may need more crews...so they find a Sub Contractor to help out, doing specific phases or work tasks of the project. Comcast pays MasTec, Mastec pays the Sub......This is how this industry has run since back in 1973, prior to that "Everyone" had it's own crews working on hourly rate of pay. Now fast forward to today, take the above "Example"...no the sub looks for a sub sub...and so it goes. Everyone makes a buck off the sweat of the guy actually doing the work...the dude at the bottom of the food chain. The more the project is subbed out....the lower the Pay.
