For a Prime Contractor....background check/drug test/driving/crimes have been going on for some years...I know all the back to mid 90's. I know a lot of companies use to require, that if your involved in a company owned vehicle accident, you got to get drug test, vehicle can not be remove until completed. Most have discontinued that as all it did is prove you was under the influence when driving the vehicle, so guilty when other party insurance company sued. Another case, employee wrecked a company owed vehicle after hours, charged with damage and DUI, other party sued and won based on the prime bringing the employee into municipality limits from out of town. Your always screwed when Insurance Companies get involved...So do background checks, eliminate any potential law suits. It has nothing to do with your quality of work, experience, location..it's call CYA
