That's interesting. I was told that diesel engines don't like idling by several people. So a diesel engine is better for our kind of work? I am looking at a 2011 with an onan 5500 without a PTO. Running off separate batteries that are charged either by the engine or generator. So don't think it did much idling. And it has only 78k miles and other than a minor head gasket leak it seems to be in pretty good shape.
