Started with a hook blade, needle nose and did it that way for 10 years. Now, I use the jonard round cable stripper and needle nose. Some of my guys use their bare hands when pulling the rip cords but I prefer to save my hands when doing it all day. I couldnt imagine hooking the strings up to a drill and then unhooking them would be faster.
Eventually you have to clean that drill off and thus takes more time.
Do it right and you have, what, 3 pulls with the needle nose and you have enough cable stripped which might only take 30 seconds.
