I am in the same boat in fl. Whom ever you are contracting from can establish their ins. requirememts. It usually goes back to whatever the mso requires of the prime who you are probably subbing from. It is hard to make it in this business and be legal about it in all aspects. Your rate is really high. After my 43 yrs. of humping across the country it is getting tougher & tougher. They really don't pay enough to hire anyone ,pay them good & pay all the appropriate taxes. I could put ten trucks on the road but it just doesn't make financial sense. I am 61, work by myself & don't want to hire 10.00 an hr. people. Hopefully, god willing, I can make it a few more years.
