Nobody pays you to test it, but it's worth my time and money to test a cable that big before we pull it in and splice it only to find out it was bad from production or from the crew pulling it in.
Quick bare fiber test saves a lot of time and money.
Ive wasted 2 days testing and retesting a 1728CT, as well as replaced plenty of MPO connectors @ 130 each only to find out the 2000ft of 1728 was damaged by the UG crew.
Anything that big, its worth the hour to test it.
