Faceboo has plans to build a 275 mile fiber optic cable system across west virginia to connect it's data center. Construction should take 18-24 month.. Humm that's about 15/11 miles per month, not a speedy project. It would start in Ashburn, Va and end Columbus Lateral runs would feed those wanting to hop on the link. Facebook already serves 2.7 Billion nationwide with 500,000 already in WVa. Other such projects is with Zayo where they will connect data centers in Virgina and Ohio running through Wva.
