Once you get our age....it takes longer to heal.  I've had lineman back in late 60's work for me that had a plastic knee cap, in the 80's one with pins in his leg, in the 90's one with artificial knee replaced.   To all those folks I say: damn dude,,,time you find another type of trade, one slip and your never walk again.   Just take your time, heal up properly but after 43 years...I'd be staying on the ground.  Keep Safe: Microman
