On recovery work the pay rate for a fiber splicer in the field should be no less than $120.00 per hour, 80.00 per hour for the splicer with time and a half for all hours over 40 and 40.00 per hour for truck and tools paid at straight time for all hours worked, 125.00 - 150.00 a day perdium, the other issue is so called companies that couldnt splice their way out of a wet paper bag doing nothing more than rolling paper. Any splicer who works for the cheap ass wages being offered is a idiot.
