Re: Grounding requirements for indoor power supply

Basically all CATV power supplies mounted inside or outside have to comply with National Electric Code article 250. This calls for them to have the cabinet grounded. So yes you have to run the external ground even if the supply its self has a grounded plug.
If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking.
