I lost a foreman because of this, back in late 70's up state NY and fast forward to today...we are still placing strand in the same old method. No matter how inportant safety is to the crews, Safety will not be fully enfored until the pay scale gets better. My foreman was sucking up strand hooked to the trailer/truck, got up in power down the road, he knew it, jumped out of the truck and went to grab the bolt cutters from the truck, the hot power energy threw him back, he hit his head on the hot trailer and was immediately electrocuted. Sad day for my company and his family, worst than that...his dad worked for the local power company.
