If it was easy we would all be a prime. The biggest hurdle is that you need to make payroll for up to 90 days. The insurance is crazy high. (no you can't simply have a ghost policy like some of these janky subs). Next you have to be able to supply manpower. No one is interested in a mom and pop start up guy when they already have groups in the market with an excessive number of installers. Probably a lot more involved but that's the basics. Insurance, taxes & payroll = A lot of money for start up.
